About True Union

I originally landed on the name “True Union”  because I was inspired by what the sanskrit word “yoga” really means, and I wanted to honor the word in a really truthful and authentic way. Yoga is derived from the root word “yuj” which means “to yoke” or “to join.” In the west, we have come to define yoga to mean union; but, there is more to the definition than just bringing two things together. Back in the day, to yoke something, an ox and a cart is a common example, was to bring two things together so they could function. A cart was useless without an ox to pull it, and an ox was unable to work without a cart to pull. By yoking, or joining, these two things together, they could function as a whole unit. In yoga, when we reunite our human experience with our life force, we, too, start to function as a whole being. Let me say that again, when we reunite our humanness with our life force, we become whole.

This is what True Union Wellness is all about, becoming whole.

Whether through food or yoga, life choices or nature, we all have a path back to ourselves. Let me help you find yours.
