I don’t practice yoga. Is this festival for me?

Absolutely! Although yoga is the anchor for the event, there is so much more available to choose from. While we encourage you to experience some of the many entry-level yoga workshops, you can choose to surf, hike, sing, dance, get a massage, and even write poetry.

Why should I participate in this festival?

The Hawaii Spirit Festival offers the opportunity to explore the many pathways to health, wellness, and consciousness. This is your chance to practice and learn from many amazing guides, teachers and musicians – all in one place! For those of you who live in Hawaii, this is a unique opportunity to have access to some of the most inspiring teachers without having to cross the Pacific! And for those of you who live off the Islands, this is your chance to experience the Spirit of Aloha. Hawaii is a truly a magical place.

Are there different levels of classes?

Yes, we have something for everyone: from beginner to advanced levels, including highly suitable workshops for professional yoga instructors.

Would you explain the ticketing process?

There are a few different ticketing options. The optimum package is the Full Festival Pass. This is an all-access pass which covers each day of the event, including the Music Festival and Special Events, such as Kirtan, guest speakers, and a traditional Hawaiian Blessing Ceremony.

The next option is the Single Day Pass. This gives you one full day of workshops and you can choose any of the three days. This does not include the Music Festival unless you choose to use the Single Day Pass on Sunday. You also have the option of coming only to the Music Festival on Sunday or only the Kirtan on Saturday.

Do I have to register for classes?

Yes. when you register you will be asked to specify which class you plan on attending. You are free to change your class selection upon arrival at the event as long as there is space available.

Do you offer any volunteer opportunities

We currently have enough volunteers for this year’s event but feel free to submit your resume and a cover letter to be considered for future events.

How do I become a presenter at the event?

We have received many inquiries from potential presenters and we are very grateful for every one of them. Our line-up is finalized, but we strongly encourage you to take advantage of the referral programs to experience this year’s event so you can get a better feel for it and confirm your desire to join us as a presenter in 2012.

Is the Hawaii Spirit Festival giving back to the community?

Yes. Charities are still being confirmed.

What do I need to bring?

You should bring your own yoga mat and any props you may use. Some props and mats will be available for purchase on site. Water will be provided in all the rooms.

Are there discounts at the Turtle Bay for Festival Participants?

Turtle Bay is offering a discount on their regular room price. This discount is based on availability. Be sure to book ASAP as the guest rooms are limited.

How far is Turtle Bay from the Honolulu International airport?

Turtle Bay is about an hour from the airport. There is a variety of shuttle services available, although renting a car might be an easier alternative.

How does the Music Festival work?

The Music Festival will take place on Sunday, Nov 6, from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. A lineup of great musicians will entertain you as you dance, groove, or simply relax to a variety of tunes. The Festival will also feature a marketplace of local artists, food vendors, crafters, farmers, jewelers. The list goes on. You don’t want to miss this!

Is the Music Festival included with my ticket?

The Music Festival is included in the Full Festival Pass, the Three Day Pass (as long as Sunday is one of the days you choose), or the Single Day Sunday ticket.

Do you offer group rates?

Yes! For groups of 7 to 9 participants, you’ll benefit from a 10% discount per ticket. For groups of 10 people and more, the discount goes up to 15%. What is your refund policy?

We will gladly refund 80% of your ticket up to 30 days prior to the event (October 4) There will be no refunds past October 4, but you will be able to use your ticket as credit towards another True Union event.

Do you offer continued education credits?

Yes. Yoga teachers will receive Yoga Alliance approved continued education credits for the number of hours attended. More Information will be available at the event.
